1. Wash and Style

Hairspray should be the final step in your styling process. Should be applied after you’ve washed, dried, and styled your hair as usual. It should be used as an additional layer of hold and for touch-ups.

Pro-Tip: It should be applied to dry or nearly dry hair. Applying it to wet hair will usually make the hair look more greasy.

2. Flatten the Stray Hairs

Flyaways are stray hairs that spring up despite your initial styling efforts. Flatten the flyaways before you use the hairspray. You can spray a small amount of the hairspray onto your hand (palm and fingers) and use that to lset any stray hairs.

3. Hold the Bottle at a Safe Distance and Apply a Light Mist All Over

Hold the spray bottle around 6 to 8 inches away from the hair when spraying. Holding it at this distance will lead to a light mist falling onto your hair as opposed to anything too heavy or wet.
