The Corrective Water Phase has 4% Tranexamic Acid (TXA) which targets & corrects dermal-level post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation caused by environmental stressors such as UV exposure and acne. How TXA works:- When skin is inflamed by external stressors, plasminogen (a protein present in the skin) is activated, triggering excess melanin production and stubborn pigmentation. Tranexamic Acid blocks this inflammatory pathway, reducing melanin production at the source to fade existing pigmentation and calm post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. 5% Niacinamide - In combination with TXA, Niacinamide treats pigmentation at the epidermal level by reducing the movement of melanin to the skin’s surface. This helps fade visible dark spots, prevent uneven pigment buildup, and improve overall skin clarity over time. Vitamin B12 - Soothes & Calms the stressed skin. It also naturally imparts the formula’s soft pink hue. The Preventive Oil Phase - 4-Butylresorcinol and Licorice Oil - 4-Butylresorcinol targets pigmentation at its source by inhibiting key melanin-producing enzyme tyrosinase. Paired with Licorice Oil, it boosts tyrosinase inhibition while calming inflammation and oxidative triggers to help prevent pigment relapse. Sea Buckthorn - Powerful anti-oxidant that supports the skin barrier. It also gives the formula its natural golden-orange colour.
