Features :
- Pirouette Dark demerara sugar is a golden brown sugar with large homogeneous sparkling crystals, a crunchy, sticky texture and a rich aroma owing to the presence of cane molasses enrobing each crystal. It has a distinctive flavour and is ideal for sweetening coffee and as a crunchy topping for cakes as well as fruits. The product is made from cane juice by a natural process i.e. without chemicals or additives.
- Unrefined sugar tends to form lumps due to compaction. To revert to a crystal appearance , break it apart by hand or with a pestle. Lumps due to compaction do not impact product quality or taste profile.
- Ideal to enrich coffees, sprinkled on pancakes, in muesli and as a crunchy fruit or cake topping. Delicious in crumble toppings and caramelized on crème brulee.
- Pirouette Dark Demerara Sugar is unbleached sugar with no added colour, no added syrup and Non GMO
- Delicate, large-grain, pale Demerara sugar can be a rich, glossy finish to top cookies, simple cakes, or bread puddings, eliminating the need for icing or drizzling.
