Essentia Extracts Geranium Essential Oil is extracted from the leaves of Pelargonium graveolens, a plant species native to South Africa. According to folklore, it was used for a wide range of health conditions. Geranium oil is grown in many regions, including Europe and Asia. There are many varieties and strains of the pink flower with a fresh, floral fragrance. Each variety differs in scent, but is near-identical in terms of composition, benefits, and uses.

- AROMATHERAPY: The sweet scent of Essentia Extracts Geranium Oil is uplifting, energizing, and inspiring, offering a sense of positivity and good health, both physically and mentally. To diminish feelings of sadness and stress and to enhance cognitive function, diffuse 2-3 drops of Geranium Essential Oil in an essential oil diffuser. This has the added benefit of soothing a sore throat and addressing sinus infections.
- NATURAL FRAGRANT: For a cosmetic fragrance that balances the mood and that can be applied to the wrist, the inside of the elbows, and the neck in the same way as a regular perfume, first select a Carrier Oil of a personal preference. In a dry glass container, pour in 2 Tbsp. of the chosen Carrier Oil, then add 3 drops Geranium Essential Oil, 3 drops Bergamot Essential Oil, and 2 drops Lavender Essential Oil. Cover the container and shake it well to thoroughly blend all the oils together. To use this natural, homemade perfume, simply dab a few drops onto the aforementioned pulse points.
- TOPICAL APPLICATIONS: Geranium Oil’s astringency makes it beneficial for tightening skin that is affected by symptoms of aging, such as wrinkles. To firm the appearance of sagging skin, simply add 2 drops of Geranium Essential Oil to a face cream and apply it twice daily until there are visible results.
- TREATS CONGESTION: You can inhale Geranium essential oil to get instant relief from nasal and throat congestion. It clears your respiratory tract and promotes smooth and healthy breathing.
- PROTECTS SKIN: Geranium essential oil protects your skin from sun damage. You can use it to obtain nourished and glowing skin free from toxins and dirt as it has a detoxifying effect on your skin.
How to Use :
- It may be used for aromatherapy, blended with a carrier oil to make massage oil or used as bath oil. Use a drop of essential oil per tablespoon of Essentia carrier oil of your choice for best results.
- For a facial serum that slows the look of aging, pour 2 Tbsp. of a Carrier Oil of personal preference into a dark 1 oz. glass dropper bottle. Recommended oils include Essentia’s Cold-pressed Coconut, Sesame, Sweet Almond, Walnut or Pumpkin seed Oil.
- Next, pour in 2 drops of Essentia’s Geranium Essential Oil, 2 drops Lavender Essential Oil, 2 drops Rose Absolute, 2 drops and 2 drops Frankincense Essential Oil. As each essential oil is added, gently shake the bottle to thoroughly incorporate it. Cleanse and tone the face before massaging 2 drops of the resultant serum into the face, focusing more on areas with fine lines, wrinkles, and age spots.
